- American Odds
- Odds expressed as a positive or negative number; positive shows profit on a $100 bet, negative shows amount needed to win $100.
- Arbitrage
- Exploiting differing odds across bookmakers to place bets on all possible outcomes and secure a risk‑free profit.
- Asian Handicap
- A type of handicap that splits the bet into two parts, removing the draw and giving two possible outcomes.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for betting, used to determine stake size and manage risk.
- Cash Out
- The option to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or minimizing a loss.
- Closing Line
- The final odds offered just before a match starts; beating the closing line indicates a profitable betting decision.
- Decimal Odds
- A way to express odds as a single number, where the total return is the stake multiplied by the decimal.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, such as a home win or a draw, increasing your chances of winning.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds displayed as a fraction, showing how much profit you make for each unit wagered.
- Hedge
